A CHRISTMAS MESSAGE FROM THE O’DAY FAMILY:
We would like to take this time to say thank you to all our friends and family and the entire community for all your love and support during this most difficult time in our lives. There are no words to describe the outpouring of kindness we have received from everyone since the onset of Kelly’s illness. From the phone calls to the home and hospital visits, near and afar, to the gifts and monetary donations, to the incredible fundraisers and benefits, to the house cleaning and shopping for us, to the healing masses, the endless prayers and cards, making sure Colleen and Katie are taken care of , as well as Reilly, and even decorating our house inside and outside for the holidays…there are just so many generous acts of kindness to name…to the entire sports and basketball community, not only Chenango Forks, for supporting Kel by wearing green on their uniforms, or in their hair, or in their shoes, –basketball is so important to Kelly, but if there is one thing we have learned from all of this it is that basketball is really just a game – what is more important is to know that in the game of life, we are all playing on the same team! Kel would be right on that court with you all if she could, but to know that you are all thinking of her while you are playing truly humbles us. To our co-workers, thank you for understanding that we need this time to be with our family, and for your incredible generosity. And to the community, the support of Kel by wearing green bracelets, ribbons, Kelly’s hope tee shirts, headbands, - this all has seemed to connect the community with a common thread – keeping the hope and faith alive that Kelly will beat this cancer! If anyone can do it , she can.
To the creator of Kellyshope website, thank you for keeping us connected with our friends and family, and for bringing new people into our lives whom we may never meet. but are eternally grateful for their beautiful and kind words to Kelly. May this holiday season bring everyone peace, joy and happiness, and may all our friends and family and community know that we love you all very much, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
